Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary Indiana U.S.A and died June 25, 2009, at the age of 50. He was the eight child of Joe and Catherine Jackson.

He attained stardom at the young age of five with his elder brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. He was the lead singer of his family group known as the Jackson 5.

He began his solo career in 1971, and within the shortest time became a dominant figure in the music world. He used his 1982 album Thriller to break social barriers and transform the media.

His short film music videos helped the television channel MTV, in no small measure to attain stardom.

He introduced many dance moves such as robot and moonwalk and with estimated sales of over 66 million copies worldwide, his 1982 album Thriller became the bestselling album of all time.

His music has influenced numerous artists of various music genres. With countless awards and achievements, he is considered the most recognized figure in the history of world music.

Of course, they are a lot to learn from this legend. If you can view the world from the same angle this king of pop music viewed it during his lifetime, only God can stop you from attaining an enviable feat.

Indeed, his words and musical lyrics can help us in no small measure, to uncover the angle this great musician viewed the world in his lifetime.

According to one of the greatest scientists of all time, Isaac Newton, “If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders giants.” Below are some of his philosophies.

1. "We can fly you know. We just don’t know how to think the right thoughts and levitate ourselves off the ground."

What this means: We all have wings [talent] to soar like the eagle but the majority of people are still on the ground because of their inability to spread it and make an attempt.

Nothing but your thought stands between you and your goal. If you replace it with a positive one and make an attempt, nothing in the whole of the universe can stop you. In fact, the blue sky will set aside the world for you.

2. "If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change."

What this means: The change you seek must begin with you. A better world can only be possible if you change old habits fatal to progress, and start to do things in a new way.

If you beam the light, you will be surprised at how many people it will attract.

3. "My attitude is if fashion says it’s forbidden, I am going to do it."

What this means: To achieve an enviable height you must learn to view things differently, if you are in a room where everyone is sitting down stand up if you want to stand out.

4. "I am happy to be who I am."

Meaning: Are you happy to be you or striving to be someone else? It would be virtually difficult to uncover your full potentials if you waste your time trying to be me.

If you are not happy with who you are you become a stranger to yourself and can never see the good in you.

5. "Just doing as well as you did last time is not good enough."

What this means: Don’t let the standing ovation gets to your head. If it gets there, it will head straight to your legs and break them.

Before you realize what is happening you are on the ground. No matter the enviable feat you attain in life, tell yourself the best is yet to come. This is one of the greatest secrets to achieving legendary height.

6. "I think it’s important to help out as much as you can. Just to help one person means a lot. It’s big step forward."

What this means: The easiest and fastest way to brighten your path is to light a candle for someone in the dark. Anytime you sow a seed in the life of someone you are accelerating the speed of harvest.

There is no better way to give to yourself than to give of yourself. If you want to know why you have not received the money you pray for every day, look at your hands you will see they are clenched.

7. "Work like they is no tomorrow. Train. Strive. Really train and cultivate your talent to the highest degree."

What this means: It has been proven over and over again that the god who favors a lazy man does not exist anywhere. Indolence is the twin brother of poverty.

Michael Jackson during his lifetime spent about six hours every day learning new dance steps; that is why he was able to rule the music world.

Things are not working for you not because you are not cut out for great things, but simply that you are on a wrong path and need new direction.
